Volunteers are one of the most important resources in many orgnisations. Here at the Carers Resource we realise what a valuable contribution they make.

We are always looking for new volunteers to complement our existing team.

Whether you want to help your community, meet new people, use existing skills and learn new ones or just gain the satisfaction of having done a good day's work, the Carers Resource would be happy to work alongside you.

Opportunities currently exist for:

...who are needed to help keep the library resource up to date. Duties will include ordering information by letter or telephone, updating the order records, gathering new information and undertaking small research projects under the supervision of the Volunteer Organiser... also, of course, having fun!

Our voluntary work is based at our office in Pickering and prospective volunteers would be expected to contribute two sessions, morning or afternoon, per week. Volunteer 'out of pocket' expenses (e.g. travel expenses) will be paid. Full training is provided.

Why not give it a go?

If you are interested, please contact Avril at the Carers Resource and she will send you an application pack containing further details, or phone her for an informal chat.

Life is never dull at the Carers Resource and you can make a real contribution to assisting carers in our region.
