Share your experience & meet new people

Carers Resource welcomes and appreciates the valuable support provided by volunteers to our work. From our formative years, volunteers have made a rich contribution to our development and continue to do so.

There are several ways to be involved in our work - some volunteers enjoy helping with our administrative work, others with fundraising, whilst another important role is helping to keep our information system up-to-date. We also occassionally call on volunteers for their opinions and ideas when consultation processes are under way.

If you are interested in joining us, contact Avril Bartlett (Volunteer Organiser) on 01723 850155 for further information and to discuss how you can become a Carers Resource volunteer.

Meet members of our volunteer team

We currently have four very enthusiastic volunteers who support the work we do at Carers Resource.

Helen - who is our Financial Volunteer, coming into the office weekly to assist the Office Manager.

Lynn - works twice a month covering various administrative tasks.

Myrtle - covers the Information System at Carers Resource, making sure that the information we pass to clients and staff is as up to date as possible on a weekly basis.

Sheila - as with Lynn, Sheila's work involves administrative tasks but comes into the office on a weekly basis.

Lynn, Myrtle and Sheila also help with the bulk mail out of our quarterly newsletter Focus Carer as well as providing invaluable support at events/training etc that run throughout the year.
